In our Pre-K program we encourage the children to explore their own creativity and ideas. The children are ultimately responsible for finding activities provided by the educators that satisfy and bring them pleasure. Educators keep the children involved in decision making and the children learn to accept responsibility for their decisions. Educators encourage the children to use phrases such as, "I would like" or "I need help" to express their wishes and needs. Each child is grouped with a special friend/educator with up to eight children per educator. These small groups named by the educators such as Black Bats or Purple Elephants form the small circle groups and lunch tables of the children.

General Daily Plan:
7:00 - 08:30 am
Opening Educator is the door greeter who helps each family say goodbye and helps the child get started with an activity or toy.
7:00 - 8:20 am
Arrival and inside play for all the children; also breakfast for children that need it (cereal, with milk & juice)
8:20 - 8:30 am
Clean up, toileting, go outside to play
8:30 - 9:15 am
Outside play for all children
9:15 - 9:30 am
Small Group and plan making for all groups
9:30 - 12:00 pm
Snack is available and Children choose play area either Inside or Outside
12:30 - 12:10 pm
Clean up and toilet, wash hands for lunch
12:10 - 12 :30 pm
Circle Time and set up for Lunch
12:30 - 01:00 pm
Lunch
1:00 - 1:30 pm
Clean up lunch room, toileting, and Circle Time
1:00 - 1:15 pm
Pick up for half-day children 01:30 - 03:00 pm Nap, children get back rubs, play quiet music
2:45 - 3:15 pm
Get up time, put away nap things, get shoes on and toilet
2:45 - 3:30 pm
Snack
3:00 - 4:00 pm
Outside play
4:00 - 5:00 pm
Inside and outside play – children’s choice
5:00 - 6:00 pm
Inside play
5:30 - 5:45 pm
Late afternoon snack and visiting time
05:45 - 06:00 pm
Clean up, close up activities to finish the day
